This game is my first actual use of Gamejolt, I am super excited to get this up and running.
I am working on a game that is a culmination of the months I’ve spent learning how to develop games through Unity. I personally am no programmer, so the bits of code that are changed in my game are either after many hours of research to find a solution to a problem, or provided by an asset developer as an extension of an asset I have purchased from them.
My game is for the most part designed entirely out of assets. It is my goal to make a storyteller out of my first game. It won’t be an epic shooter and it won’t be a glorious adventure, but it is my hope that it will leave a memory with you of an enjoyable story and experience.
I have my own blog that I’ve been running since the beginning which you can find over at www.blueauroragames.com
I plan on updating my devlog here as well from now on and possibly finding a way to update all of my blogs at the same time.
I look forward to posting my progress here. The game’s current development stage is I would say somewhere between 25-30%. I have for the most part finalized the structure of the level design. I’m currently working on filling the game world with objects from furniture to coffee cups to staffing. I have a 3 phase level design plan. I will be developing “The Facility” as a ready to operate day one location. Then for phase two, I will be going back over the design and making it look used long term. For phase three, I will be putting the final touch on the level design, I won’t give details on this to spare you from ruining the story.
The storyline itself will be voice acted via the use of ingame devices called Datalogs(As seen above) which you will activate throughout your path into “The Facility”. You will go through and attempt to figure out what happened, who you are, why you are here and what happens next.
This is my first real game that I have ever developed, so I’m nervous and yet excited to release it.
Thank you for following my Devlog and I look forward to telling you more about the progress as I go along.
