Ive been struggling with an immense amount of artblock and demotivation and that has forced me to take a hefty break from the game, it doesent help that University is about to start in a few days too. But outside of those concerns im fine i think.
I already finished all the status-icons i will use in the game and have finished drawing all the essential character portraits. During this time i also gave more detail to the game's story.
Ive also made a major decision when it comes to how im going to actually present this game, and ive decided that i want to release the game in chapters; with each update to the game adding a new chapter. as you can see from the overworld image, there are a total of 5 "worlds" the player will visit throughout the game. They will each be their own respective chapter, with Chapter 1 being set in The House.
Another realization I have come to is that without the proper funding I cant hire a musician to make the games ost, so I will have to take care of that myself. As I learn music I will post every test to my youtube channel, hopefully archiving my process will get me motivated further.
Whenever my artblock etc. leaves me free, I will continue development, hopefully in conjunction with balancing my Uni work:)).
