Changes
I've given the title screen an overhaul.
I've changed the title card font to a more stylish Microgramma-like font.
The colours of several sprites (such as the player and enemy sprites) have been altered to better keep to the Master System's 16-colours-for-sprites limit. I've also started experimenting with the rings having a single solid background colour behind them.
In addition, the size of some sprites are or will be scaled down to be more reasonable for an SMS game (namely the moving platforms).
I'm looking to make the Mental Mountains Zone boss a bit more challenging.
Demo additions
I'm aiming to have all 7 characters playable.
The player can change there character once selecting a stage, which should allow the player to try out all characters in a single run-through.
The player should be able to summon Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury. Both are senshi that I am confident will be in good standing.
It will feature the original music I compose myself. Some placeholder songs are still being used though, namely the title screen, player/stage select, zone card and special stage music.
Since I'm still developing the game to get it into a playable demo, things are subject to change. Hopefully though this article will give you a heads-up of what to expect.
