Itch.io Summer Sale

The Itch.io Summer Sale is ago, and while the game is available for free, we decided to participate anyways!
For the same price you'd pay for a good ol' Cup O' Joe ☕or Soda🥤, you can support the development of Just Keep Running, and you'll get access to high-quality downloads of the soundtrack, any future bonus content or related products, and once the game gets released on Steam or any other storefronts, you will be sent a healthy amount of keys that you can use or share to redeem the game on those platforms!
This game is developed by a very small but passionate team, and while our main goal is not to make a profitable product (which is why our goal is only $25), it would be nice to get some sort of return on our hard work. It's a very small gesture, but it goes a long way, and we deeply appreciate it! :D
Lastly, we somehow still have a Discord Server!
Feel free to join our Discord Server if you’d like to talk about Just Keep Running and/or other creative ventures!
Most of the stuff we’ve fixed or changed in this hotfix release is thanks to Gaminator3333 on the server, who is not only the current World Record holder for the game on Speedrun.com (at least I’m still in 2nd place!), but has also helped us find and fix a good bunch of issues in this version of the game. Thank you!
If you wanna join in and help out with the game’s development, don’t hesitate and tag along with us!
Full Changelog
[1.3.1] - 2023-06-27
(Shoutouts to Gaminator3333 for letting us know about most of the issues and feedback listed below!)
ADDED
Mouse Smoothing: For players who want to have fully raw inputs, you can now toggle mouse smoothing on or off.
CHANGED
In Speedrun Mode - the player can no longer actively switch the state of the “Assistance” boolean during a run: If Assistance is turned on at any point during a run in Speedrun Mode, “Assistance” will now always be set to True until the run is over. This is to prevent potential cheating by using any sort of assistance and then turning it off to make it look like the game was being played without any help.
All Timers and Stopwatches now also display hours if a timer goes over 60 minutes. Previously, timers and stopwatches would instead wrap the minute display back to zero, which could become problematic in multiple ways.
FIXED
1-4: Players being able to press the “Up” button while outside of the elevator or being able to quickly get out of the elevator after pressing the button, softlocking them in the process.
Custom Keybinds not being applied until the player goes into the “Keybinds / Controller Bindings” menu. These should now just be applied from the very moment you enter the main menu.
KNOWN ISSUES
Outlines most likely won't render if the game is running on the Vulkan API. We’ll try to see if we can fix this, but we can’t guarantee anything.
Changelog formatting is partly based on [Keep a Changelog] (https://keepachangelog.com/en/1.1.0/). Version numbers are formatted as such…
MAJOR.MINOR.HOTFIX
Major releases tend to include extensive visual & technological additions, or overhauls of significant systems that might invalidate older game versions, such as save files.
Minor releases include changes that are significant but likely do not include anything that may invalidate older versions of the game.
