So, the previous update wasn’t that long ago, but I’ve gotten some great feedback to help improve the game a bit further and thought I’d go ahead and upload the changes.
The first and biggest change is a new skill category for Mara called “Mana Burn.” This allows her to use any of her elemental spells without shifting elements. The drawback is that the mp cost is doubled (or tripled in the case of ice daggers). The goal of this addition was to give the player an option to skip the tedium of switching elements when battling weaker enemies, but, for long-term strategies, elemental shifting is still beneficial.
The second change is Percival’s boss fight. It still functions the same, but now Percival’s color changes when he shifts elements. In the previous version, he would simply flash once to show his elemental shift, so now it will be much clearer what he’s weak against at all times as it’s using the same color scheme as earlier enemies.
I also removed one of the mandatory encounters that felt a bit redundant. There weren’t many changes here, but I think the addition of the Mana Burn abilities will speed up the flow of combat, which was a point of criticism from a lot of people. Hope you enjoy!
