Hey guys, coder of the troll game here.

I think we all know the troll game was really rushed, and some things I wanted to add were cut due to time, so I thought I should talk about all the scrapped content for the troll game (read article).


Multiple Modes

Originally, there were gonna be 2 modes, Mario Mode was the normal campaign you see in the troll game, Luigi Mode would've been Mario Mode but with much more characters and mechanics, also acting as the "hard mode" of the game if that makes sense.

Different Bossfight

The Maltigi bossfight you see in the troll game was originally gonna be separate from the gameplay and not feature Maltigi at all! The original bossfight was for Showstopper Tails and you would've roamed around the location finding her and shooting her. During this, several threats from the main game were present trying to kill you or prevent you from dealing damage to Showstopper Tails. The Luigi Mode I mentioned earlier would also have a bossfight with the same premise, but with different mechanics and characters in it, I didn't know what to make the main enemy for this bossfight though.

Minigames

Minigames were supposed to be in the game, their names were:

Kill Showstopper Tails
Toy Boshi Booping Simulator
Minigame

The first and third minigames were death minigames, however the second one would be accessed by clicking on Toy Yoshi in the poster in the office. In the first minigame you had to click Showstopper Tails and watch her die (aka getting destroyed by the Clickteam Mosaic transition) until it was over. The second minigame had a highscore system for the Toy Boshi boop clicks. The third minigame was a parody of death minigames, starting with the text "This is a death minigame" and then "You win!" follows, in which the "minigame" will end.

Extras Menu

After beating the game, you would get access to the extras menu, with 4 options:

Characters
Minigames
Custom Night
Replay Scene

These are all self-explanatory, but Replay Scene is still in the game, just not in an extras menu. Funnily enough, the extras still exists in the files of the final game because of the fact the game was so rushed I forgot to delete the damn frame lmao.

Custom Night

Self-explanatory, something to note along with this is that the bossfight you see in the final game would've taken place on night 6 instead of night 5, and the max mode would have the Maltigi phase. This was replaced by night 6 in the final game, which is max mode and has the Maltigi phase.

I suppose I should update, I was kind of slacking a bit yes, only one event was finished since last devlog, and I've just picked things up again since winter break has started. one of the scripted events is being coded right now as we speak
