Hey, here's a f1rst p0st detailing this idea briefly. As soon as I have a playable version I'll post it here.


This is an idea I can't seem to shake off, so I might as well do it.

At its core, the game is a tower defense game with moving towers. The towers are cars roving around a base. I'm thinking post-apoc like Mad Max or something. Enemies come from all directions and try to get to the base, to damage it. Cars shoot at these enemies to prevent them from doing so and collect their loot, which players use to upgrade the base, improve the cars and purchase new ones.

Here's an extremely high-quality gameplay concept sketch:

I'm expecting to take from 2 to 4 weeks to complete this project, depending on how fast I can go. Art is the main thing slowing me down, as I take a long time to merely get to results I don't completely hate. I also have a few other things on my plate right, so there's that?

Anyway, as soon as I have some progress I'll post it here.

Here's what I'm thinking to celebrate the 1K followers milestone... the very first SOCK TOWN prototype!

It's heavily inspired by the Reigns game, but instead of being about being a king... it's about being the director of the "Sock Town" TV show!

NEW UI PLANNING!

Since the beginning of this project, I've done its UI in a somewhat haphazard way. Now it's time to get some things right, so I'm planning to fix some things about its user interface.

Sharing the pixel art I did for a personal project I never got to make. The player would control an enchanted chest that had to investigate the disappearance of its wizard master!
