It’s been a while.
I haven’t forgotten about this. I started with the idea that I’d make weekly video updates, but that’s proven too much of a task, at least for now. Mostly it’s the idea that I have to record my voice that causes me to put it off. I’m just not feeling it right now. It was too much work for too little payoff. I’d rather write a longer, more in-depth devlog about it instead. With that being said, I don’t plan to stop making videos, it’s just I’d rather talk about things that interest me than something I force myself to do every week. (I actually have a large backlog of video ideas I’d like to make). I’ll probably change my mind sometime in the future, but for now this is going to be how it goes.
As for the game, I added AI that moves to the nearest vehicle and gets in.

They don’t do much once they’re in the vehicles though. That’s probably what I’ll be working on next.
I also changed the controls a bit to be more intuitive (they were really bad before) and added a pause menu, which will let you see the names and colors of enemy players.

It’s still a work in progress (and an exact copy of the lobby menu).
Also, following my tradition of extremely simple and generic names, I decided to call this project “Wireframe”. You know, because of all of the wireframe…yeah…
I want to get back to updating this on Fridays, so expect a new post here next week. I was thinking of having a timeline for when to add features and an expected release date. I never intended for this project to take that long, so I want to finish it quickly so I can move on to other things.
