It is time to discuss the three Hidden Machines or HM's to be found in this game.

1. Strength

Strength does the same as it did in the Pokémon games as it be used to move boulders and if used in battle, is a slightly more powerful version of the skill "Strong Attack", using MP instant of TP.

2. Fly

Fly is only usable on the overworld and can be used to go to any town or shrine you have been to. However if used in any place other than in Gensokyo, it won't work.

3. Decrystalize

Decrystalize works like the Pencil Eraser/Eraser Eraser item from EarthBound as it can be used to remove certain crystals in order to advance further into certain dungeons. When used in battle it can deal damage whilst also decreasing Magic and regular Defense.
