Hey guys, it’s Kyle here, and I wanted to make this devlog concerning on how I feel about this game. While I do feel that it is my best game that I’ve released, I really think that I can do much better. The gameplay got boring as hell after the first 2 nights, and pretty much everyone I know had developed a strategy on how to get through the game easily. Not to mention the amount of bugs when it was first released, and the amount of bugs in the game now that I simply cannot fix, because the bugs refuse to be fixed. What does that mean, you ask? It means that the code should work, as I’ve done it this way dozens of times in different projects that I’ve either canned or kept hidden, but it doesn’t for some reason. I think it could be the sloppiness of the code, as I feel I overdid the code. The night frame itself in the MFA of the game has 1,510 events, which is more events than in Sea Shift 2 and the original Sea Shift (both are games by Scrubby). LEFT_BEHIND 4 will go over this amount most likely, but because it needs to. There are going to be 4 mechanics that you need to keep an eye on each night, whereas with Rival, there was only 2. You didn’t even need the cameras. The graphics in Rival (in my opinion) are lazy and rushed. I’m taking time with LB4. That’s all for this devlog. Thanks for reading if you took the time. Bye
TL;DR: Not really fond of this game, as the coding was sloppy and the graphics were lazy and rushed.
