Maybe the short sleeves are more fitting. Leaves Swifta a bit more exposed and thus more "vulnerable", thus fitting the horror theme I'm going for better. And the long sleeves make her look more like she's wearing a uniform?
Even though I don't like Sonic's portrayal in the movies, the electricity can still look cool.
