The game is evolving quickly! After hours of the painful management of collision boxes, I’ve finally rewritten the gridmap and now have access to a wide range of tiles. I’ve decided to swap the thick logs out as platforms for blocks of dirt instead, and now i have thinner logs for trees! On top of this, I’ve added a new character and wrote a character selection script. No UI yet, though. I’ve also decided on a pivoting camera rather than a fixed one for easier control.
I also have added gates and buttons, and have ideas for all sorts of cool mechanics.
