Shaders…
I love what they can do to enhance the visual appeal of games, but man oh man… understanding them, to me feels like trying to perform a backflip while cooking eggs in deep sleep without spilling your glass of milk.
Anyway, after weeks of trying to figure it out, I was able to stack the rgb split shader with the shockwave/ripple effect.
Well, stack isn’t the right word. I sorta merged them. It’s still buggy, and I haven’t tamed it yet, but I feel happy to have figured something out.
Still not sure if I will put it in the final game, but for now, I’m going to play around with it.
