DEVLOG #2

The wait is FINALLY over! Here is update 0.1.2 of Project Flight! The next one might take a bit longer than I originally anticipated, but you'll see why by reading the patch notes in the article.

THE NEW / FIXED STUFF

  • Added the temporary mini settings menu

  • Added the boosters

  • Added the lifebar

  • Added DEATH

  • Replaced the old oval test track by one more interesting to play

  • Changed the bird to one easier to control (using the future customisation system)

  • Changed how air resistance works to make it a lot more natural

NEXT STEPS

-Rewrite of most of the code

SIDE NOTES

Why a rewrite? Long story short, my College assignment made me realize that my current systems (like the checkpoints or how scripts communicate between them) are absolute trash. To be honest, it was an experiment for Project Flight to see how I could make them much better. And, of course, I found a TON of ways.

At least, it’s not like I had to rewrite everything. Some scripts will simply need tweaks so they can work with the updated systems.

Also, don’t worry, this is NOT a 4 month break because of something like studies. I’ll be working on it until it comes out. Just don’t expect me to have it ready in 2 weeks or less.

On that note, I’ll see you in the next update!
