Welcome to the fifth devlog of Devil’s Punishment!
Our team has had many changes and new additions, but we're back on track with more power than ever before!
Programming
The map generation, LSD, FPS and Inventory mechanics are now fully complete. Our programmers have also worked in the health and infection mechanics. Although some polish needs to be done here and there. The only missing stuff in the programming area are a few miscellaneous things, such as the menu and other UI related stuff, and of course the networking and AI of the game.
We will be soon adding our new design of the inventory to the game, same with the health bar and ammunition bar.
Our programmers are currently working in the networking of the game and we hope we can show you some more footage related to this.
Enemy AI is also around the corner too, but of course, like in horror film trailers, we do not want to spoil any of the "bad guys" to the public, we want it to be a surprise.

Modeling & Animations
Our modelers have finished and improved the generator room, but the improvements of it might be shown in a third pre-alpha video.
Our environment modelers have finished the laser room and are now improving it.
Our character modeler has finished the modeling of all the creatures of the game except for the progenitor that's close to being finished.
Our animator has finished all the animations for the prisoner character and parasite. He is now currently working in the animations of the spider creature.

Art
We have added an additional artist to the team that has finished most of the concept art for the environment of the game. And is almost done with the main menu illustration.
Our other artist has been busy designing the inventory and is now currently working in the health bar.

Sound Design
Our sound designer has been creating some environment sounds.
Also, did you notice that we uploaded 2 new tracks to the soundtrack of the game? (Ailment and Gates of the New World (Demo)) Cool stuff.
Game Design
The LSD (Light Source Device) now has a feature of moving up and down and also increasing and decreasing its radius (which also affects how far the light reaches the map).
Game State
Game Programming: 70% done.
3D Modeling:
3D Items ~100% done.
3D Characters 90% done.
3D Environmental Models ~40% done
Animations:
FPS Animations 100% done.
Character Animations 50% done.
Art 70% done.
Music & Sound Effects 100% done.
Game Design 100% done.
