Hello everyone!
I haven't posted anything on GameJolt again for a long time. I've been working on a lot of different things recently. Today I'll showcase a couple of the things I worked on.
Note that the features I talk about in this devlog work both for the AI and the Player.
Companies
There are 3 different types of companies.
Private: Private companies are registered companies that are not listed on the stock exchange. The company can be owned fully by the founder or by multiple people (i.e. investors). The majority of the shares can then decide on the person promoted as company manager (which is basically the CEO position in smaller companies). The assets (vehicles, properties, items, money) of the company are strictly bound to the company and the manager can't simply withdraw funds from the company account.
Public: These companies are basically the same as the private companies but they are listed on the stock exchange.
Personal: Personal companies are not registered companies. They do therefore also not have any shareholders. The assets of the company are therefore also directly assets of the company owner. Usually these companies are family-businesses or companies with no other employees.
Farms
Farms are usually family-owned businesses. There are several different agriculture buildings and properties such as fields for crops or livestock, farmhouses, barns, slaugtherhouses, stables.
For the cultivation of crops you just need to plow the soil first, sow seeds and can then harvest the crops after they're grown.
Food Factory
There are several different factories in the game. One of which are food factories. They manufacture both foods and beverages.
Every factory has a so-called production line for each product. Often these require machines. In the video you can see 3 machines. The first one is a sorter machine which can sort out items that are not preferred. The second one is a packaging machine that is filled with plastic packets. The third one is also a packaging machine but filled with carton boxes.
Grocery Store
Grocery Stores work like most other self-service stores. A supplier delivers the goods to the store storage. The stocker refills the shelves with the goods and the cashier receives the payment for all bought products.
There is a special management application for computers that can be used for numerous things including setting prices for all products.
Bulkcontractor..com Website
This is a wholesale website for practically all different categories of products. You can select the item, fluid, volume as well as the container. Then you can set a rate like $10/ 50 pcs. You will then be able to search for the product listing if you search for one of the two keywords.
