Hello everyone!

It's been a long time since the last devlog because, as you may have heard, I've been to Australia in February. Our school also recently closed down due to the coronavirus so I will be having much more time to work on the game now as well.

AI (Artificial Intelligence)

The basic AI features are finished! These include the movement system, inventory, clothing, health, and some other systems. All the AI scripts including jobs, etc. I will start adding during the content phase in 1-2 months.

Vehicles

The first car has been added. Vehicles will support many different features such as trunk storage, multiple seats, using items while driving (such as weapons but also grenades) and more. The tires and windows can also break individually as well as the vehicle body itself. To drive a vehicle it will require fuel, a car battery and it has to be in a sufficient condition.

Tools

A steel axe was added for cutting trees as the first tool. This new tool system also allows other tools such as drills, shears, brooms, etc. Most tools will also have their own animation.

Knowledge and Skills

The knowledge and skills system was added as well. Skills are mainly for practical use such as the use of tools. Knowledge values, on the other hand, are especially important for unlocking crafting recipes. These values are also essential for the definition of the behavior of the AI.

Release Date Announcement?

I often get asked when I'm planning on releasing the game, a demo, Kickstarter, etc. and I am very happy about so many people very interested in the game. However, I'm now planning on announcing the release date in June. Why not announce it right now? - I currently do not want to promise anything I cannot deliver as, even though I already have a very detailed schedule with every little feature filled in, I can never know if I'm able to finish those things that fast. One thing I can confirm is that the mechanics phase will end in April, and the content phase (adding all items, vehicles, buildings, ai scripts, etc.) will then follow. Although there's a lot of content that has to be added, it will actually not take that long, as I always programmed the systems very handy for adding content (creating and implementing an item with its own features and sprite only takes a couple of minutes for example)

- Basic Agriculture Features
- Animals
