I ended up adding a bit more than I expected to, —even footstep sounds! I’m really satisfied with the progress I’ve made in just a couple of days. My next goal is to furnish the bedroom, and throw in one important piece of information regarding the story. :3
Here are the contents of the included changelog, which detail what I’ve changed and added:
Version 5 —————————————————————————————————————
GRAPHICS:
-Closed some open holes on the corners of the house.
-Added the same material used on the TV to give it it's specular look to other furniture that should be shiny or glossy.
-Added some basic trees to the forest, so that the player has visual confirmation of movement.
-The resolution dialog now defaults to widescreen and fullscreen.
-The kitchen now has more counters, complete with doors that you can open and close.
-Added the fridge, kitchen tables and chairs, and some small appliances to the kitchen. (Still needs stove and decorations)
-added some slight texturing to the lighter mesh
-Flipped the lighter in preparation for hand. (Hand to be added later)
GAMEPLAY
-The lighter is now toggled on by default, due to the fact a lot of people had a hard time finding the door to the house. It will revert back to off once I've added some form of in-game tutorial.
-Added an event which triggers a banging sound from within one of the rooms. To be accompanied by vocals, later.
AUDIO
-Added some footstep sounds. The current file I'm using is really cruddy, so I need to find something better.
KNOWN BUGS
-Some of the shaders look a little messy.
-The doors for the counters look bad when viewed from the top.
-You can walk halfway into the trees.
-Sometiems the fog remains too bright once you reach the house.
