I find it quite stupid when kane responded the accusations of being greedy. he made an article about it and as is mandatory, I have to give a personal opinion.


I personally didn't say to kane to rush evergreen I just want to tell him to focus on one thing and then we'll see. yes because it doesn't work like in five nights at wario's I mean, bro you have the money and the support and you waste it all like this?

seriously make a good fan game instead of focusing on how to capitalize on even the tip of an idea.

you can't make a bad spin-off (MyPopgoes) and expect the public to appreciate it only after you re-program it. It doesn't make a thing and it doesn't work sometimes.

now let's see what paths it can take:

kane could

A: getting Evergreen made and sold ASAP. Rushing the team, never creating the Falses, cutting the post-game content and the collectibles, spending half as much time on environments, etc. Just making it a super simple reskin of POPGOES from 2016.

B: put more focus on Evergreen so it can be made and sold with all the effort in the world. not-rushing the team, creating the Falses, not cutting the post-game content and the collectibles, spending more time on environments, etc. (that's what sakurai does when he doesn't take pills) making a re-imagining of POPGOES from 2016

C: what you have decided; neglecting evergreen so much that you didn't even changed the cover

did we asked Evergreen being smaller, worse, but released FAST, and FIRST? we ASKED you to not waste time on evergreen because you're NOT immortal!

did we asked to sell it at... $30? no. it would be a sign of greed.

did we asked pre-orders? maybe not.

did we asked DLC? it can be ideal for post-release support. it's like adding new ideas you had but it's too late to do it. (a bit like in Not For Broadcast which has 3 DLCs)

did we asked An equally crunched sequel released just a year later? no but did we asked a sequel? (I do not)

Believe it or not, i want Popgoes Evergreen but I wouldn't want it to be a real and effective waste of time (like the spin-offs which are a waste of time)

The Pear controversy has made the fanverse lose credibility and could only be revived by THE JOY OF CREATION or Popgoes Evergreen.

kane get money completely from optional side stuff, separate from game releases. Game Jolt stickers, my BMC Discord server, merch drops, and even YouTube ad revenue. (for that you have to submit to the totalitarian and dictatorial regime of youtube (Crispy Toast even left the Partnership since it is a hotbed of corruption))

at the writing of this post, there's no person playing myPOPGOES right now.

the only quality I attribute to kane is that of having the courage to do something that in clickteam seems impossible because Clickteam fusion 2.5 is an old software (Coming out on 5 December 2013). so it's prone to crashing or just poor optimization.

MyPopgoes is bad but at least it's not as difficult as Popgoes Arcade. see that's the problem with kane. besides being annoying, he can't even balance the difficulty of his games.

i didn't even beated morse before i disowned popgoes arcade.

we usually see spin-offs as non-canon stuff. (super mario has too much spin-offs) if there are sequels, spin-offs, comics and animated series planned before popgoes evergreen was even released, then there's a problem.

In my opinion Popgoes should work on its own even if it were intended as the first part of a saga.

I want to be honest with you. I firmly believe that THE JOY OF CREATION will save the fazbear fanverse from decline. and if it doesn't, fnac 4 or popgoes evergreen could. it's kane's magnum opus and he knows he can't keep it in early development forever.

so the question is: evergreen takes to much time?

the answer is yes.

cabin fever 2 took at least 1 year to be developed.

the spin-offs simply tried to put some preparation into the saga before the main game arrived (and perhaps they did it in the worst way possible)
