i noticed that when og simon mentions betty, the winter king calls her "the dead one"
but betty got teleported to the future by simon using marcelines toy hambo
well my theory is that marceline died at a young age before finding hambo and because of that there was no hambo to bring betty to the future, allowing simon to find betty and kill her while he was wearing the crown
and this MAY be true because we see an ice marceline, but shes still a child because thats how winter king simon remembered marceline
