I'm back... and going to be updating this game again!

It has been a long time since I’ve posted any news updates about this game, and I apologize for how irresponsibly I feel like I’ve handled this game in its development. I promised updates but never came through, and this is something I plan to put to an end, so there’s that.

About the actual game now, Project Stratosphere is my first game I ever created in Unity. I have put many hours into learning the very basics of programming while making this game. As a result, the game’s code is very sloppy and disorganized. It was also created in Unityscript, which I have moved on from to use the better (in my opinion) C#.

So the first thing I plan to do is to recreate the code in C#, but make it better and more optimized. I feel like I have come a long way since I created this, my first game, and have grown very much as a developer (but I know I have a very long way to go still), and want this game to be made to its full potential. Doing this will also get rid of the buggy, inconsistent gameplay that comes with the game.

After I do this, I want to add more levels with better aesthetics. These levels will include both Player Vs Player levels as well as Minigames (both single player and local multiplayer) to help supplement the Mini Games section of the game. While doing this, I also want to constantly be improving the AI to make it more consistent and challenging (especially in Metal >_< ).

(TL;DR) In the end, I plan to stop my inconsistency in making games (as I have been very inconsistent in the past), and make my games less inconsistent by restructuring this game specifically to C# to make it clean and organized and continue to update it.

If anyone has any comments, questions, or concerns, please feel free to leave a comment, or contact me directly at [email protected]

Thanks for the support!

Been working lately on lots of 'behind-the-scenes' boring stuff that no one really cares about, so here’s a guy playing the sax for some reason.

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)

We're knee deep in multiple large features and "game feel". Quick peek behind the scenes in this weeks Dev Blog: https://bit.ly/2QmmaQM
