Game
Nights at Felix's 2

I'm honestly glad I was able to pick this series back up again, and I'm even more grateful you guys still like it. Seriously, thank you for the support. I think now is a good time to talk about what you can expect now that it's back.

I honestly never thought this series would see the light of day again as a trilogy, as it was originally planned. It was basically dead for a year, with me having no interest or motivation to work on it after the original development of the second game. That version is a completely separate game, and nothing was carried over here. I don't think anything survived that project aside from this teaser of Olga's redesign I was gonna use:

The gameplay in this originally attempt was just outright awful, genuinely awful. You had a locker, so Felix would literally have the same mechanic again. Then there was this door lock system on the cams, which was basically the FNAF 3 vent mechanic for Olga. After that, you had this side panel which gave you a cam to see Golden Felix, where you had to collect coins on screen with a little robot thing...???? It was so awful, which is why I didn't bring back anything; everything here is completely new, aside from the story, of course. I did manage to code a bit of the office frame before I gave up but I think that's been lost to time, as I started development way too quickly and teased it way too early. When that happened, it died almost immediately.

After almost a year however, I thought it would be fun to pick the series back up. I was bored and wanted to make something without having to use too much brain power to come up with something new, so continuing Felix's was a perfect idea for something to work on the side... Next thing I know however, it's turning into one of my highest quality games yet, right up with Cabin Face 3, which is crazy.

While it's obvious, I might as well say that the series is no longer tied heavily to the Five Nights to Remember series. Originally, I was going to base each game off of Stella's old fan games: Felix's 1 was based on Five Nights to Remember with a little bit of One Night to Remember, Felix's 2 was going to be more outright inspired by One Night to Remember, and then Felix's 3 was going to be inspired by Nightmare Before Disney. Not a bad idea, but I rushed it, and that not only stressed me out but also just killed a pretty decent series you guys were hyped for.

While I am trying to stay somewhat in the nostalgic category and I have taken some inspiration from One Night to Remember (literally only the cardboard cutouts), I am basically just doing my own thing here for once without any direct inspiration. It has been hard, I won't lie, and I have, from time to time, just randomly stopped working on it, only to come back days later. However, I know this will be worth it and will likely be called one of my best projects, as usual, lol.

As amazed and happy as I am to know I'll actually get to make this series a trilogy, I am also nervous that the third game might not be received that well due to it being way too different from the first two games. I won't spoil too much, as it will take a long time before we get to Felix's 3, but all I will say is that it will ditch the nostalgic formula altogether and will be almost a completely different game when put next to Felix's 1 and 2. However, I'm gonna trust my gut and just make Felix's 3 what it was supposed to be. It'll be a big risk, but it will be worth it for the story.

Speaking of that, I'm surprised some of you are very interested to see what it will be. There is one, but I have changed plans since the first game came out. Originally the story was serious, but given how the series was meant to be overly nostalgic, Felix's 1 was a bit goofy and didn't focus on it too much, which is mostly because it was just supposed to set the story up with its minigame and then have the rest of the games do all the hard work. Now, however, Felix's 2 and 3 are gonna be a little more serious. I'd still call them silly since these games use the Splink models, but looking aside from that, the story will be taking a more direct and cinematic approach. It's very simple in retrospective, but is unique, and I don't think this has ever been done before. So if you're hyped for the story, you should have that hype fed with Felix's 2 as well as Felix's 3.

Anyways, that's all... You know what? Screw it, let's do a little Q&A 'cuz I'm bored! I'll answer any questions unless it has way too many spoilers, so don't expect too much. However, don't be afraid and ask; maybe I'll be able to answer, even if it seems like it's lore-heavy.

This is one of my best friends, please give him a follow as he is a very good voice actor and a very good actor!

What would he wear for Halloween? The best suggestion will be used in a little render I'm making to celebrate Cabin Face 1 becoming so weirdly popular, especially in the Max Mode community (which, yeah, it's a Max Mode game but... never mind)

Почему ты используешь Google Translate, чтобы прочитать это? Ты серьёзно говоришь, что ты не русский? Нет, не ты, я знаю, что ты умеешь читать по-русски :D

@MrMalos I think he will be a frog for halloween this year. so festive

I've been itching to experience something like Amnesia: The Dark Descent again. Don't get me wrong The Bunker is great from what I've seen! And it'll likely be the next thing I play soon, but the next one I'll be checking out is the Justine expansion.
