Just to let you know, I decided to finish this project during this period, before university exams knock me out.
I’m going to finish all the remaining levels, making improvement to the game (I’ve just discovered that the particle system is not good for the texture swapping) and the overall gameplay experience.
A possible re-design of some animations and tiles is also planned.

1 year of work and this is the crappy result. I must thank the Godot Engine for being so awesome to use if I'm still working on this after the third refactoring.
