So I finally made a Ko-fi, and before anything, I want to explain why, what it’s for, and what you get (spoiler: no paywalls).
Why now?
I’m currently doing a professional diving course, and where I live there are no places to do the internship, so I had to move far from home. Because of the course, I can’t be officially employed, which means no stable income.
Right now, the little money I get comes from my parents and from commissions, but I can realistically only do one or two per week. That money goes mainly to food, transportation, and basic daily expenses, so things are a bit tight.
That’s why I decided to open a Ko-fi and ask for a bit of help.
What the money is going to
A big part of it goes to food and transportation, and also to keeping things running while I’m away from home.
I’m using this car to move around, and while it’s thankfully not a gas addict, it is a third-hand car with some issues (the trunk doesn’t open, the left door doesn’t open properly, and an oil change is coming soon).
It’s not glamorous, but I want to be 100% transparent with the donations. No sketchy stuff.
And after this situation is over
The support will also help me:
Pay for assets
Have more time to work on the game
Improve the overall quality of the project
The money goes directly to cover my personal expenses and support my work.
