I rant about weather in pokemon for a bit


so I play a lot of pokemon showdown, specifically in national dex and I noticed something...RAIN AND SUN TEAMS ARE EVERYWHERE! every person in OU either has drizzle peliper + mega swampert or mega charaizard y (or torkoal or both) + chlorophyll vnasaur. its stale and boring seeing these two combos (or some variation of them) all the damn time it is really suffocating those that want to try other styles of play, because if you're not running rain or sun you have to use stall, which makes you look like a complete ass. in the futere there should be a move (preferably one with priority) that clears weather because even with the nerf weather got in gen 6, its still OP enough to be spammed on every team under the sun...or rain. hell I got so frustrated that I threw a rain team together with the nicknames for the pokemon being

are

fucking

everywhere

in OU

and guess what, with no skill or practice whatsoever I plowed through every non weather team in sight. weather should get some other nerf, or some of the pokemon that abuse it should be looked at further
