I've decided that Hell Alex will not be coming onto GameJolt. I will be leaving as well.


I am just really done with this platform. It's no longer about indie games anymore. It's just full of brainrot and stupidity. I do recognize there are some genuinely talented people on here and I feel like they should be getting more attention instead of stupid shitposts that flood your feed. This platform has had so many problems for a awhile ranging from drama, pedophiles (they still haven't banned wrenblu's account and haven't removed his gamejolt creator status), underage users (They straight up have it on their bios and they don't get banned) and extremely edgy and unfunny content (if you've seen my post yesterday you know what I saw) That's all the problems I can name on the ontop of my head and I believe there are other problems too that I haven't mentioned.

If you want a platform that has complete full respect for creators, isn't full of spam and isn't flooded with underage users come onto Newgrounds. Yes the same website that shows up when you play Friday Night Funkin. They've been around longer than YouTube (the site's about to turn 30) and they are still going strong. The site is full of talent and is open to many artists, animators and game developers. I highly suggest checking it out they have more under control than GameJolt.

So if Hell Alex is leaving GameJolt does that mean it's cancelled? No absolutely not. Hell Alex will continue development like normal. Just Gamejolt is cut out of it. The discord server is open with posts often put in the devlogs channel and would actually like more members to join to have a small community and the indieDB page is still up (although the indieDB page is rarely updated). Hell Alex will be playable on the web with Newgrounds and the game will be downloadable for Windows and Linux with itch.io.

Will I be leaving GameJolt? Pretty much. I will probably stay on just to see whatever my friends post and to support their works. I hope GameJolt can see this and try to fix their problems. If I see that they successfully do then I and my game may return onto here.
