I've forgotten this after a while, but today I've been reminded of this. One year, two months, and a few weeks ago, the arson fires at Kyoto Animation (known for many anime including Lucky Star, Chunibyo, Haruhi, K-ON!, Clannad, etc.) happened.

Day: July 18, 2019

36 died and 34 were injured. Some of these victims worked with Kyoto. The company and many others helped the company honor those who died and were injured, and their families' respects.

Sentai Filmworks started a GoFundMe for them, with the goal of $750,000 (US). It passed the $1,000,000 (US) within a day. Several American licensing companies including the Nickelodeon Animation Studio, Crunchyroll, Funimation, and Aniplex offered support.

Please remember this and support Kyoto for this sad, tragic event. Donating to them is likely over (since over a year), but still give support.

Artoon seems like it was very underrated game development company even when very key people worked there.

Naoto Ohshima, the one who originally designed Sonic the Hedgehog and Dr. Eggman, founded (or at least co-founded) this company.
