Downwards Demo

Important news about the demo

I want to let everyone know what the purpose of the demo is

The plan for the Downwards Demo is I'll add some extra quality of life stuff or even online features, but from there I'll leave the demo. I'll keep working on the progression and features of the game which won't be updated onto the demo

The version I will eventually be working on will become a beta, which if I do everything right, should be total overhaul compared to this game

The Beta will be a totally separate game, but if it ever exits beta it will still be the same game

Thanks to everyone that's following the project

My demo is finally complete! Sure some parts don't look as professional, but then again it's a demo

Play it here! https://gamejolt.com/games/ddemo/646571

I also said I'll add online aspects, but censorship is hard to add, I'll add chats and stuff in an update

A slight change in lighting calculation allows it to be more realistic and allows for visuals such as this

Audiostream doesn't work when packaged and turboloader has become mostly obsolete due to new turbowarp extensions

I'll have to move contents of this project to another one and replace turboloader blocks with official extension ones

1st project: racing project main/physics

2nd project: racing project map systems and that

Quiet video

Old side project inspired by I Wanna Kill The Kamilia and Jump Knight, should be multiplayer as well

left/right arrows - move

spacebar - charge jump

Cont.

Low pass

My projects Crate Engine and Marble Mania have been dropped so as a result I'm making them open source

The engine is way more bare and approachable while the unfinished game has more editor features

Have fun!

This dude is very underrated, 2 digit views but insane sound design and use of the scratch audio system

Great attention to detail too, on the second car the drivetrain makes a high sound based on the speed not rpm
