Been on this site for about a month and just now I’ve found this blog section, so I thought I’d use it to post updates and news about what I’ve been up to.
A little bit about me: I’m 16. I’ve been programming on and off for about 6 years now, but about 5 months ago is when I decided to get very serious with programming. Since then, I’ve rarely seen the outdoors, in fact I don’t remember the last time I left the house..? I took some computer programming courses through Stanford University (EPGY). C was the first language I learned, then Java. Since then, I’ve used and dablled in various languages, libraries, engines, and frameworks, including: RCXcode, QBASIC, C/C++, Lua, C#, Java, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Javascript, Coffeescript, JQuery, Ajax, Ruby, Python, PHP, MySQL, R, UDK, Allegro(4&5), SDL, SFML, and XNA to name a few.
Definitely my favorite, most-used languages are: C/C++, Java, and C#. Those are my strengths.
I’ve made a couple dozen little 2D games, and I’m always learning new stuff. I’m almost to the point where I feel ready to make a larger, in-depth, and polished game. Perhaps, here on GameJolt, I could find some collaboraters ;)
Right now I’m in a bit of a pickle. I’ve been using the same little craptop to program on for the past 6 years, and it’s at the breaking point. It can’t handle bigger programs, it crashes constantly, freezes up, etc.. It’s lifetime is up, and I’m waiting for a check, so I can buy a new computer and actually be productive, because right now development is verrrrrrrrry slowwwwwwww.
So right now, I’m not really doing too much. Hopefully I get some money soon, and then I can start working on a full game to upload here.
Until then, you can check out my little game — Jungle Scroll. I made it in 5 days in XNA as a little mini-challenge to myself, and I’m pretty happy with the results. Also, the source code is up on Github, if you’re into that sort of thing.

Well, I’m out. Peace.
