So, cutting right to the point, I got a new laptop for Christmas, and it’s leagues better than my old laptop, so that means two things. One: this project’s finally coming back to life. Two: I shouldn’t have to worry about it crashing before development’s finished… again.
Now for some bad news, but don’t get sad just yet; the situation works out at the end. As it turns out, the backup for my old laptop got lost somehow. Like, the actual disc it was on was misplaced, and now no one knows where it is. Fortunately, I had planned on overhauling the game anyway, so this… forces me in the right direction? All I know is two things. First, there’s a small chance this game will be Windows-only since I can’t find the audio files for Mac, but I haven’t looked everywhere yet, so I might find them. Second, my other project, The Hall Monitors, may and shall suffer significant delay in favor of this game, especially since, while I can salvage it through methods I won’t share, cough Thanks, Satanism. it’ll still be a rough process, and since I still have to get my Product Key for RPGMV “renewed” or however I can recover it, I only have 20 days with RPG Maker MV, and that’s time I need to put towards getting Team Gamer’s Adventure back in working order.
Ah, it feels good to share solid good news with people who follow this game. Oh yeah, I mentioned an overhaul to the game, right? What to share with you…?
Six main characters instead of just four, including a roommate for Tronic.
An actual use for TP.
A falling-out ended, so Jay, who was a placeholder, will be replaced.
An intro cutscene instead of just exposition.
A story far better than the one you probably would’ve been subjected to before.
Until next time, see ya!
