Starting off with the biggest change… every single boss (except omega sneekie somewhat) has received changes or a full rework
White & Black (Arena 1 Boss) sucks in projectiles and starts shooting out projectiles, stays stationary in the middle of the arena. Still an easy first boss but at least it does something now
White Prime’s (Arena 3 Boss) attacks have been made slightly more fair, now shoots projectiles during first phase, and new bullet hell attacks
Louise (Arena 5 Boss) received an entire rework to her fight to make her more interesting while also being more fair. I won’t say much on this because one, it’s way too much, and two, you should just experience it for yourself… I will say though that the fight does need some extra polishing that will come later on.
Boss health now scales with how high your damage is, but this is experimental and will be changed likely in a small patch
The Casino has been reworked… literally just came out…
Upgrade and Chat menus removed
Gambling now has a set rarity system for charms instead of rarer charms appearing depending on how much wrath you have.
Speaking of wrath, wrath levels can now be infinitely obtained. The warth needed for a wrath level up is capped at 125.
Added the menu Sacrifice, where you can sacrifice your collectibles for wrath. Rarer collectibles give more wrath.
Added the donation button, you can now donate your wrath to lower your tensity, the thing that increases your likeliness of getting curses or blessings.
Increased base damage stat to 3, in compensation enemies have triple the health they had before
This was made mainly to finally balance out damage scaling as it’s been a huge problem since the game started. To give the math… Since before your base damage was 1, if you were to get a gauntlet (which increases damage by +0.5), that would be a solid 50% increase. That means 50% more damage to enemies by ARENA 1. Obviously this is completely broken, especially since enemy health is mostly scaled on that base damage of 1. Now that the base damage is 3, when you get your first gauntlet, that’s a 16% increase in damage dealt to enemies. A lot more tame compared to what it was before, while still feeling impactful if you manage to find a lot more gauntlets.
I will additionally say, though, that some enemies are definitely planned to be reworked and rebalanced, this change is also very experimental so it may cause a lot of issues in the long run…

I think I’ll do some smaller updates to fix up louise and make enemy health more consistent, then I’ll start working on 5.5, which will likely have character reworks! Was originally gonna be the Arena 4 boss, but I decided to delay that because I don’t wanna rush getting alpha out
Speaking of alpha, yeah I’d say the game is going into alpha soon… The biggest addition will be progression, meaning pets and characters will be locked behind unlocks. Codex entries will only be discovered as you find the respective arenas, enemies, upgrades, and pets. Some guides will be available at the start of the game, but some will be hidden until you figure out their mechanics. At the start of alpha, Arena 7 will still be the final arena, although I plan on eventually releasing an update that will give you guys Arena 8 finally… I also plan on adding a second roster of characters after the character reworks, so that’s cool, you guys will have around 16 characters to play! Although take "soon" with a grain of salt cause im a slow dev lol
