Welcome back to the third monthly devlog for uta, sorry for the late release with this one some complications came up. Those complications being life throwing 15 bowling balls at me at once but ignorimg that its time for the dev log! As you may have seen july 3rd was the 6 month anniversary of this silly project. Id like to thank you all for the support given over the last few months. Id also like to give a special thanks to the wonderful devs working on this project for contributing to this project. Also special thanks to @dreampachi on twitter for the art! now onto the news!

SPRITES

We dont have much to show you in terms of sprites however we can confirm that weve got a few sprites down but theres still alot that need to be done. Also this sprite of uva with big ass eyebrows made by noobette.

SCRIPT

In terms of story weve made some good progress on neutral and even figured out who the final boss for it is so thats good. We've also decided most of the bosses for geno but were still working on the final boss but we are getting there!

DEV QNA

To celebrate 6 months of uta we decided to do a qna with a few of the devs which will probably take up most of the dev log so be prepared. Also we cant ansewer all of them but we tried our best to however we might go back to this to answer more.

And because i was taking a poop and the only thing in my sight was a sink, i said “IF THERES A HOLE THERES A GOAL BY THAT LOGIC I CAN DO MY SINK” and thats what started the sink jokes :3 the jokes were gonna end the same day i started them but now its just kinda an inside joke? Answer: Maybe. We plan on releasing this game for free anyway, so if you wanna use the source code to mess with the files and characters and the horrible code, feel free to!! The source code is all hosted in a private GitHub repository anyway (for source control), so all it takes is to change the privacy settings to public.

Please note that plans might change though, either by Mabu giving the game a price tag, or concerns about people using the source code for malicious purposes.

CONCLUSION

Were really hoping to get a lot done during winter to hopefully get this game out and ready for you to play! See you in august!
