It's Halloween, and although I don't think many of us are going out trick or treating, I hope everyone has a good time. But now here's what you've likely clicked on for, an update.
Behold, the protectors have shields, and the "gud" ones specifically have guns. (Neutral Chao and co. have maxed stats for testing purposes, mostly map and events. Bosses actually being possible will likely be tested on Proudly Hard and Critically Impossible, considering I'll be doing a run of those before I release 2.1.0. I want to bring attention to Critically Impossible as it has some more...significance.)
The final SQF also has a new look, but I won't show it here. But yes, I have been working a bit on the finale.
For example, you won't fight Chaoris straight away anymore. Obviously for the in-universe reason of wanting to drain your items. For the actual reason, I figured I wanted to add a "phase" in-between the two pre-existing phases, as a buffer so the player can have a fresh bit of air.
Yes, this is where you get taken. Granted I put the starting position on the wrong side. That'll be dealt with.
But while we're still in this over-world, I found a use for those shitty old sprites. However, interacting with this leads to...
A ghost. OOOOOOOHHHHHHHH, VERY SCARY. Seems like the enragement-money-stealer is in the Halloween spirit.
Right now I'm focusing on completing the Main Game's additional content, plus actually getting Trinkets into the game. As of posting, there's one functioning and I have an idea of how one more will work. But I'm not going to stop at two. At least five will appear in the game. That's a god damn promise.
However, I said earlier that Critically Impossible had more significance. Because for the main game, there'll be exclusive content for Critically Impossible. So that also needs to be completed. The most major things are a new party member, something to do with Garnet Neutral Chao (and Dark Garnet Run Chao if not recruited) and six new skills, one for each OG party member.
After all that, it's on to Gilded Sidestory and working on that. I have a general idea of how it'll play out. I think. But it'll be a bit more difficult than the Main Game by proxy of only having three party members, maybe four.
If you've read this, 'kay thanks and have a nice day.
