Patch Notes: Air Cavalry Update – All Helicopters Ready for Action!

I’m a solo developer working on an indie RTS, deckbuilder with auto-battler mechanics. Since I’m new here, I wanted to share the last major update that went live in the Steam Playtest a couple of months ago. It was a big milestone for the project: helicopters entered the battlefield (light, medium, heavy) along with 15 brand-new cards in the deck builder.
Here’s a recap of what was added
New Helicopter Units: Full Deployment
All previously revealed light helicopters are now fully playable.
Newly added are medium and heavy air support units, focused on firepower, armor, and special abilities.
NPCs now actively use helicopters for both defense and offense, be ready for anything
Each helicopter type has its own strengths:
Light → Very fast and agile, ideal for precision strikes that require perfect timing
Medium → Versatile and equipped with high firepower
Heavy → Slow and durable, perfect for breaking through enemy defenses

15 New Player Cards in the Deck Builder
Alongside the update, 15 brand-new cards have been unlocked in the Deck Builder – tailored to all the new helicopter units. They range from simple scouts to epic air support units capable of dominating the battlefield.
Available in various rarities (Common to Epic)
Now accessible in the Deck Builder
All cards are playable immediately in the Playtest

Improvements
Performance has been further improved
The readability of small card text has been optimized
Bug Fixes
A rare bug when opening the codex has been fixed
Several minor issues have been corrected:
Card display in the deck stack
Game time display
Resource display
Text alignment in the chat input field
Display of HP and DPS values on cards
Error messages in the deck builder
A rare bug occurring at the end of maps has been fixed
An issue in the targeting system was resolved that prevented certain weapons from firing
What's Next?
With this patch, the current wave of helicopter content is complete – but development continues right away!
The focus now shifts to further polish and implementing content from the roadmap toward version 1.0, including:
Individual card updates
New units and weapon systems
A buff system for units
Additional action cards to expand tactical options
