(My name is DEFense and I am the one who will lead at least this devlog)
After many years of waiting and improving both the composition of the project and its condition, we are ready to show and tell you new aspects of the game.
During the year of ULB: Rewritten's existence, a lot of different people joined our team and the game began to transform from dirt into a full-fledged remake of the game.
Now I think I'll get down to the basics of devlog.
✦CHAPTER 1: Overworld
Unlike the successes in the battle engine, there are no great successes in overworld 〤
This is due to the fact that we started working on it quite recently and before that we had problems with spriters.
✔At this moment, only a few rooms are ready for overworld!

There won't be many locations in the game, we want to focus on the highlights of just "the core" and "the new home".
Now, after successfully warming up the audience, I will proceed to more interesting things.
✦CHAPTER 2: Sans Fight
Our first progress began, of course, with the battle with the famous skeleton.

✦Chapter 4: The Direction of the game
On the one hand, it may seem that this is another cringe remake of the official ULB, which cannot come up with something of its own and was created by people who stand still...... And yes, somewhere deep down it really is.
However, there is one issue with this remake that I would like to address.

✔I'm a very big fan of the original ULB.
I've been watching and following it throughout the creation of the game and have been a fan since the very first versions.
I saw how good ideas ended up in the game and which ones would be forgotten for years to come....
┇But will they be forgotten?
✔My goal is to ask myself and others the question "what if?"
"What if the team hadn't rejected certain ideas during the creation?"
"What if we complete and improve these ideas and assemble a new story from discarded puzzles?"
I think you understand what I'm getting at.
We're going to take these ideas to the maximum level and show you the new ULB, and we'll find out later whether you like it or not.

I think my experiment should become.... VERY, VERY INTERESTING.
✦Chapter 5: The future
At the end of the blog, I'd like to talk about the future of the project in my head.
┇I plan to release 3-5 devlogs throughout the history of the game's creation to show my successes and save them in history.
Right now, the team is really missing a certain number of musicians or artists, but I'm sure that everything will get better soon.
And now the most important thing
✔We are planning to release a demo!

It will be posted at the end of 2026 (approximate date, it is not exact)
and demo will definitely have phase 1 and a new home location.
I believe that the project will have a good future and I sincerely hope that it will be interesting for you to watch and play it.
