[Cancelled] Undertale: The Otherground

Late 400!

Welp, we had hoped to release the Alpha around this time, but as many of you may already know, our main programmer abandoned everyone, including us (for personal reasons we do not know). However, that doesn’t mean we don’t have anything to show! It may not be a lot, but it’s something!
Let’s begin!

Alright, so we have a new human design, courtesy of MHT himself! The original Undertale’s human design was a little… Well, I dunno how to put it, but it wasn’t the best. With this new design, more details can be drawn such as poofier sleeves, jacket fluff, the ability to distinguish between shorts and pants, etc. Here’s an example, which includes the twins from Demolitale and Louis from Demolitale: The Otherground.

That’s all for sprites, my lads. Sorry we can’t show more, it’s just all spoilers. :/

However, we’ve got some music! Some of this was already made a long time ago, but I recently felt that they could be released but with a bit of a spoiler cover on it, hence why their descriptions are labeled as “(Purpose= Full Game Spoilers)”

Anyway, here’s the list of things I can remember that we added!

-Depo made a new “Once Upon a Hopeful Time” and made a new “Heads up!” and “Keep Ahead of the Game!”.
-Ethan Harper made “Distant Sirens” and the corresponding area’s shop theme.
-Wolfboy made “Right Where I Want’cha”

And well, that’s about it. It may look short, but the bullets only counted the soundtrack producers. In total, if I’m not an idiot and can’t count, there’s 6 songs in total (having “Heads up!” and “Keep Ahead of the Game!” counted separately because, well, they are).

Sorry that there wasn’t that much to show. We’ve just had some problems, and the things we did do can’t be shown. Demolitale’s hit a huge bump in the road, but remember, I made a promise to see this till’ the end. I intend on keeping that promise. Thank you, and good night.

MICROLOG: Just barely missed our shot. Don't worry, though! Everything except programming is ready to go, aside from a few lines in writing that need fixing and an optional track we wanna add. :^)

We should be able to drop super early in July, I promise!

workin on some graphics for the channel tabs, that way they look a bit more professional, appealing, and even welcoming

here's a preview of one of them! :^)

forget the professionalism, it's 4am and i almost fell out my chair when i saw this thank u all so much for 2k we're so close to the proof demo it's exciting just a few more things to finish up and we're ready to drop i hope it'll be worth the wait :^)

MICROLOG: Oops! I forgot to show off the map we devs made, drawn by LukeWarmGuy! This is Mongale Island, AKA what the title is referring to as the "Otherground". This is where the events of the game will unfold. Hope you like it, and huge thanks to Luke!

It's been a long, long time. After many years of sheer development hell, the game is being canceled- but, if you don't mind, please read the attached article. Thank you all for the memories and experiences, you all really changed my life.

EVENTLOG: Welcome, Burke Day 2021!

Happy birthday, Sunny & Renee Burke- and happy 4th anniversary to the team! We've come a long way since the reboot about 2 years ago. :^)

In celebration of today, we have a small event going on! Read below for more!

The creation of this community also brings one last thing: and that's the official preview page of Deltarune: The Rouged Thorn, a potential followup to UTTO.

It's been promptly attached to this community's games section, more info on the page itself.

so how about a new halloween pfp :^)

also made an upgrade to the background of my default pfp

Discord Update: I'm on track to getting back in, but Discord keeps passing down the processing job, so it's naturally taking forever. They're doing their job, which is something to celebrate regarding their reputation.

Have some cute art for the server :)

It's been five years; half a decade.

It's late at night as I'm writing this, but I'm still in disbelief that Undertale turned 5 today.

I wished we could've released UTTO today as a gift to Undertale & its fans, but we'll keep working hard until then. :')
