LET'S TALK ABOUT THE MAGIC HOUR (READ)

Well hello there, everyone!

So, it was about time, thank you so much for the support so far, I hope you have enjoyed the trailer yesterday I promise you bigger things are coming.

I felt like making a devlog to answer certain questions some of you may have, clearing things up for those who are new to the franchise and couldn't catch up with my devlogs for the last 5-6 months.

What exactly is "The Magic Hour"?

Well, like the title says, it's a sequel to "Together Again: A Lake's Funland Story" but you could somehow see it as a spinoff as well. Everything that happened in "Together Again" is still canon in this one, however, the story of this game will explore different events; the story of "Together Again" was pretty much concluded in its own installment, although a few plot points were left unsolved, but I won't talk about that now.

Same universe, same timeline.

When does "The Magic Hour" occur?

This new installment is set 20 years into the future, that means the game's events occur in summer of 2014 as mentioned in the trailer and the game's description. However, the lore will elaborate on events that occurred in the late 2000's- early 2010's and some that occurred sometime in the 1990's. So it constantly goes back and forth.

Will this game take its time to tell a story again, or is it 100% gameplay?

Look, you know me very well; to me it is very important to tell a story more than delivering overworked RTX graphics and fast paced gameplay, you can go play any other fangame if that is everything you want. Just like in "Together Again" I want to take my time to tell a story and create a cinematic atmosphere. Yes, there will be lots of cutscenes in this game, however, I will compensate that this way...

New side tasks

I've never been a fan of post-night segments in FNAF fan games, mostly because I've always thought it's absurd that someone who was employed as a security guard suddenly has to do an engineer's work or the janitor's work by repairing animatronics and cleaning shit. No, you will not have to repair animatronics in this game, but after nights there'll be short side missions that will vary; these however are actually justified, you are given a reason as to why you're doing such tasks and even better, they are optional; so it is on you whether you want to do them or not, however, doing them will bring you certain rewards. After doing the task or declining it, you'll have a short piece of story and then you can keep playing, I'm trying to make it as balanced as possible.

Where's the rest of the Together Again cast?

If you payed attention to my previous posts, you know I said none of them would return, except Alice.

Haiden, Chick, Jon Kun and Alex the Coyote are owned by old friends of mine: Billy Walker (Haiden, Jon and Alex) and Raymond (Chick).

Long ago before the game came out, Billy came to me and respectfully asked me to stop using those characters once "Together Again" was released, and honestly, I didn't hesitate. I did what I had to do with them, brought them to light and fairly milked their potential, I'm satisfied with the result and there is nothing else I'd want to do with them, so they're gone.

Lake is a different story, he won't return for many reasons, but one of them is simple: To me, Harlan was always THE complement to Lake; in my head, one character needs the other to co-exist. With Harlan's soul being free, then I don't feel like there should be a Lake anymore.

I've said plenty of times Alice is my favorite, so I didn't have to think twice about bringing her back.

When will the game come out?

2025, I don't know when exactly, we need to keep working, but I'm sure it'll be done by then.

Are there more animatronics that haven't been revealed yet?

Noot really if I'm honneest with you, I wanted to keep the roster simmple this time, soo therre's only 4 of theem.

Will there be a mobile port?

The iPad kids never disappoint whenever they have to beg for a mobile port, but, just like "Together Again" this game will have particular elements that will make it almost impossible to take to smaller devices, so no, I can already tell you there can't be a mobile port.

Anyways, I guess that's all I need to talk about.

Thanks for reading!

I'm not the kind of guy who celebrates Halloween, but I might as well give you a little something.

You know the drill, only ONE of these script pages is real.
