Level Up!

After a few months of smaller changes, it’s time something a bit more major happened in the world of Fungicide. Some feedback suggested that, while the game was fun, there weren’t enough short term goals to keep players going. To that end:

A Weapon Leveling System has been added.

Each weapon now gains levels as it’s used. Level ups improve each weapon in slightly different ways. As a result, the baseline effectiveness of each weapon has been reduced somewhat, but they can each be significantly improved through the level system, becoming much better than they were before this update.

Killing Spree rounds start at 2 minutes instead of 5.

Various ways to increase the timer have been added. First, there are gold watches scattered around the levels. Picking one up will increase the timer by 1 minute. Kills also increase the timer. With this change, players will need to actively keep the timer running.

A Pause Menu has been added.

Anyone who has played this game for an extended amount of time knows how helpful this is.

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)
