Levels

Update about the project

The playtests this week did not happen. We had some problems and didn’t have enough time to create a prototype to test our game. So we going to set up a new time to test the games levels.

My progress so far

I made three levels; all the levels have different number of rooms. Number one and the letter “F” are used to show where the player starts and the end of level, number one is the place the player starts in every level, and the letter “F” is the final room of the level.

Every exit has lights that show how hard the next room is. The different lights are green, yellow and red, on the images orange dots represent the red lights. The red dots represent all enemies.

Playtest

All levels are at the first draft. Under the playtests I going to track where the player progress though the levels. By using a timer to check how long it is going to take a player to finish the level. The player then gets to answer som questions about the levels and how the felt when the played the diffrent levels. Was it fun or boring? To fast or to slow? Did you find the right path or the wrong path?

Level One

Level 1 is the very first level. This level is meant to teach the player how combat works and get an understanding of what color at the different path mean.

My design plan for this level is that the player get a easy start to the game, and give the player a linear first level. It only has two side rooms that give the player more enemies to get a beter understading of the combat mechanic works.

Level Two

Level two has more different enemies and have an item that acts as a key to fight a character to finish the level. The different enemies have abilities that change the tempo of the song and demand a rematch. There is also linked enemies. Where the players have to face two at the same time.

My design plan for this level. To give the player more to do in the levels by added items to get the player to explore more then before.

Level Three

Level Three is almost the same else level two, It has more harder enemies and the player need to get two items to face the boss.

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
