I would say the reason I'm ceasing development is due to lack of progress, but that wouldn't be the 100% reason. Besides, lack of major progress is the reason why my most recent game is in slower progress than in January... But the difference between THAT game & Fredi's 2 is that I'm more passionate about finishing the former due to not only being more fun, but also making something click within me - that something being the fact that Fredi's 2 would'be been an unbalanced mess. By that, I mean: During my time testing out Fredi's 2, I've noted a couple of times situations where a lot of enemies would get near the office. This wouldn't be so noteworthy at a 1st glance, but you gotta remember the fact that I planned to add a mask mechanic alongside the consequences of using it for too long (something along the lines of the unused toxic meter from FNaF 2), with the maximum 'how long you can put on the mask before you fucking suffocate' value being 25 (anything past it = game over). Since I've planned on adding 4 characters that solely focus on being fended off by the mask... I think you can imagine how bullcrap this would've been. The 'mask mechanic' problem isn't the only problem I have with this game (there's also the fact that the behavior of the enemies doesn't sit well with me - it was also kinda the case with Fredi's 1, but that didn't have like 10+ characters so I'd close my eye on that), but it is a meaty one.
So, all in all, the fate of this specific game is up in the air, with me more-so leaning on cancelling it for the sake of not accidentally fucking myself over... As some sort of levity, however, I can say that my experience with devvin' up my latest game could help in "revamping" my Fredi's franchise (so that it isn't a top-down mess), so I could give it a fresh, new spin one day. (also, if I eventually decide on cancelling this, I could release the .sb3 file of it to let other see how much of a spaghetti'd mess it is)
