Log 01 - First Update

First off, thank you all for playing my game. This has shattered my expectations and been a surreal experience for me.

I guess introductions are in order: I am Zach, sole developer of this game, Rest Your Eyes. I make games apart from my normal job, so it can be hard to find the time to work on them on occasion. In addition to this normal strain, during this month of September I am working extended hours. So while patches and updates will be less frequent than I had initially hoped, do not fear - this game will be moving forward.

I appreciate all of the comments and videos people are posting - I’m a little behind at the moment but I am making the effort to respond to each comment and watch the videos fully. These are both encouraging to me as well as helpful (so I can find what is confusing vs. what works - and bugs too) so thank you.

I have a small patch I hope to release by the weekend; some minor bug fixes plus a hot fix to make spectator settings easier to notice for the streamers and youtubers out there.

Anyways, I hope you stick around for this journey with me. This response has blown away all my expectations - thank you again :)

Heya! I wanted to show some gameplay progress i made so far. I hope you like it ^^

Hi everyone! I started to create some environment props for my new video game, here is a cozy house in the forest. I'm planning to switch from Unity to Unreal... Let's see what new challenges I have to face. Made in Blender and Substance Painter.

Who's is this little cutey👸 here? Thanks🙏 for a gorgeous fanart @WheNa! Feel free to share your arts, screenshots, or videos with #playzelter or #zelter hashtags! #pixelart #animating #unity3d #animated #indiegames #unrealengine #animate #conceptart

I mostly build 3D First Person Shooter game mechanics in Unity, and in this I'm just showing C4 mechanics I made for a little side project I am working on! :)

We're knee deep in multiple large features and "game feel". Quick peek behind the scenes in this weeks Dev Blog: https://bit.ly/2QmmaQM

Some time ago, we posted a screenshot of the Mexico level. A curiosity about it is that, like some other scenarios of the game, it was inspired by a real landscape, The Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla. It is one of the natural wonders of the country!
