This project does not have any actual affect on any progress I am currently working on, and is more of a side thing I will touch on here and there, I started it like 1 or 2 months ago, but as of right now I am still heavily focused on both the NBD retake and Error Run.
The game I am making is actually a challenge to myself, to not only limit the hardware I have, only using my old desktop (funny enough, more ram than the laptop I am currently using) which is running both 32-Bit Versions of Windows Vista [SP2] and Windows 7 [SP1] dual booted - using the Windows Vista partition (for those who do not understand what I am saying, basically I have 2 operating systems on one machine, do not attempt to do this without knowing what you are doing, as you could lose all your data.) Alongside that, I am using a lot more legacy software to make this game, such as Blender 2.76 which was the last version of Blender to support XP before they had a requirement of OpenGL 2.1 minimum in order to run the application, on top of this, Vista also had many limitations itself on what runs on it. None of this is as easy as it sounds, especially to explain to those who may not care as much nor understand what I am saying. What I can guarantee though is that all of these choices to create this project was mostly on purpose.
The Inspiration points I have taken from this game is definitely;
Malrats own fan-games, as the office was meant to be a "1:1 recreation" of the original office he had planned for his FNaTI 2 Fan-Game, before I decided to just mess around with the recreation and make it something more.
The atmosphere definitely has a Scrapped feel to it, or at least to me, as I did take inspirations from the colors and some of the texturing it has.
The old render for Oblitus Casa of Cabin Face Gaming
The End of Disney, as some of these characters are meant to represent the aftermath of being Hell-Bound, now trying to reform their bodies back to normal given Jake has now passed in this timeline for the project.
A slight touch of FNaTI 4.0 here and there, but nothing really shows to be fully honest.
The "Breaking the Magic" series, there are ideas I want to try, but I am going to have to try and experiment with how I will interpretant this inspiration into the game.
Basically the summarize it, I am using Legacy Software (Older version of Blender, Gimp, and all the other necessary component), on a Legacy Operating System (Windows Vista), on Legacy Hardware (My Old Desktop Computer), to create a FNaTI Fan-Game that may nostalgically represent and take inspiration from other Fan-Games directly from that era. Right now this project has no name, only a codename label which is "FNaTI Project Vista 2014", which the "2014" was actually a late-night typo, as I meant to put 2016, kept it as is though since it really is not going to be the final name of the game.
