Lots of progress!! HUGE PROGRESS YEAH!

Seriously. I’ve done a lot in the past few days.

Videos at the bottom of the Devlog!

Ok.

Inventory:

  • Inventory has 40 slots
+Items may be stacked, consumables stack to 32, tools may not be stacked
+Food may be eaten to heal Stamina, Hunger, Health
+Inventory has an Equip, Use (Eat, drink), Hold option

Player:
+Player can walk, yay
+Player can equip tools, at the moment this includes Hoes, Watering Cans, Seeds
+Player can interact with environment, anything in front of them, using Z

  • Player has no collision for walls set up yet

  • Player’s stats are not visible or relevant yet

Plants:
+Turnips are growable!
+Eggplants, Carrots, and Blackberries are coming very soon.
+All produce has unique stats and values, stores will buy these from you at different rates depending on how much they already have (Stores not fully implemented yet, they just pay base price right now)

Combat:
+Stats necessary for combat are implemented, working on getting farming and NPC interaction complete before moving onto combat

NPCs:
+Basic speech is done, working on making a better looking text system

UI/Graphics:
+Lots of it is placeholder until I start to revamp the graphics expect things to be a bit ugly ;D

Progress from Streamable:

First inventory bug:

Inventory LOOKS like it’s working (Hidden bug, it’s been squished since then):

Added different graphics, more items, items stacked properly:

First implementation of the “Equip/Use/Hold” inventory system:

First video taken after plants finally worked (It was more complex than I thought):

Anyhow, I love seeing comments, feel free to drop suggestions for the types of produce you’d like to see in the game!

A house I've built a while ago. :)

It nicely separates the snowy biome from the grassy one.

It's built with painted Ebonstone.

Call it 'wrong turn'!🚫 The feeling of running into a house with only one exit🚪, and being doomed to die. #pixelart #pixelartist #pixelartwork #art #pixel #indiegame #IndieGameDev #indieartist

Spaaaace~

These are background sprites I've created for a game I'm working on at school ^w^ Click on the post to see how the sprites connect. You won't regret it! (personally, I think it's pretty heheh)
