Louisiana State has fired head coach Brian Kelly after their loss to #3 Texas A&M, their record going to 5-3 for the season. More below.


Brian Kelly was hired by Louisiana State on November 30, 2021, after a successful stint with Notre Dame. He became the 33rd head coach for the Tigers. He replaced National Championship winning head coach Ed Orgeron as the head coach.
2022: Led LSU to a 10-4 record. Made a Southeastern Conference Championship appearance, losing 50-30 vs #1 Georgia. Won the Citrus Bowl 63-7 vs Purdue. Finished #16 in the nation.

2023: Led LSU to a 10-3 record. Won the ReliaQuest Bowl 35-31 vs Wisconsin. Finished #12 in the nation.

2024: Led LSU to a 9-4 record. Won the Texas Bowl 44-31 over Baylor.
2025: Led LSU to a 5-3 record. Was fired today following a 49-25 loss vs #3 Texas A&M. Had an overall record of 34-14 at LSU, with an SECCG appearance, 3 bowl game appearances, and 3 bowl game wins.
