Vacation at Winston's is a fan game based on Five Nights at Freddy's (FNaF) that I came up with during the 2020 lockdown. This project was particularly close to my heart, and I finally decided to share it with the world on GameJolt.

The idea for the game came to me at a time when isolation was the norm. As a big fan of the FNaF universe, I wanted to create something that fit into that spirit while adding my own touch. ‘Vacation at Winston's’ was born from this desire to revisit the codes of the original game while offering a unique experience.

What makes this game special is that it is the result of a personal vision that I have been developing for a long time. Every element, from the characters to the soundscape, has been designed to create an atmosphere that is both familiar and new for FNaF fans. It's a unique project that I want to share with everyone so that others can discover and appreciate the universe I have imagined.

The idea for Vacation at Winston's came from characters I had drawn and designed to be clones. For reasons that are complicated to explain, these characters were scrapped (as you saw in the extras). Despite this, their names remained etched in my memory, as did some of the game mechanics I had imagined.

The main challenge was to create a coherent story for this fan game. I didn't have a specific idea for the plot, but I knew I wanted to incorporate these characters and mechanics in a way that would surprise and intrigue players. The goal was to transform these abandoned elements into a unique and memorable gaming experience, while remaining faithful to the spirit of the FNaF universe.

I developed this game with passion, despite the technical challenges I encountered. Since I am working on this game alone, fixing bugs and improving mechanics can take between 4 and 6 months. With help, this timeframe could be reduced to 2 or 3 months.

It is important to understand that this game is the result of hard work and a personal vision. Therefore, I do not condone any criticism or hateful comments about it. I encourage players to approach ‘Vacation at Winston's’ with respect and kindness, taking into account the constraints and time required to perfect the game.
