Development of Malice has been very slow since the start in January. I can't come up with any good ideas for how the game will play out. Mechanics are my main issue at the moment. I can't think of any that are original and it's pushing me far behind on development. Some things about the game may completely change from what has been shown so far, such as the bedroom layout. To make this game different, I will probably change the movement and what the room looks like to give the game some originality. This game is obviously inspired by FNaF 4, but I want it to be different. I want the game to have its own atmosphere and gameplay.
What I might do with the room is make it to where you can look in three different directions with the door to your left, closet in front, and a window to your right, along with the ability to look under the bed, instead of everything being in front of you. This way would add more opportunities to add better gameplay mechanics to make the game more challenging and fun. This will definitely take a little while to do as I have to completely restart the gameplay part of the game and remake it. It will definitely be worth it though. So this means that the gameplay shown in the latest trailer will not be what the gameplay is like in the final released version of Malice.
I will definitely write more of these to show progress in development of the game in the future. Hopefully Malice turns out the way I want it to. :)
