Hello there, and welcome back this week for our monthly devlog. Today we have some exciting new about the future of the project!
Pre-Demo Build
For the first time, we have some progress to show you. We have mocked up a little build, not to be seen in the future demo, but a small display of our ability in the programming and spriting departments. Our programmer BattleblockB0ss has been hard at work putting together this build, with help from SexyFlexTape, Wisgarus and Perry too from out team. And while, to be honest, it isn't much, it is something and it is our first milestone in the future of our Team Eccentric! Undertale Green.
GameMaker Studio
While we have currently been working in Construct 3 to create out current progress on the demo, recent members have allowed for the move to GameMaker Studio to be made for the programming of TE! UTG. This is an exciting change, as it follows in the steps of Toby Fox's own use of the programming tool and will allow for us to make the most Undertale like experience as possible when making out story.
We hope to bring future news on our demo soon, as we work forwards to get closer to the next stages of our project.
Spriting and Artwork
Recently, our progress in the spriting department has increased, thanks to a host of new spriters coming into our project and doing an incredible job beginning to bring the future elements of the project to life. While we cannot show off what we have so far (for spoiler reasons), we are pleased to say that in future we will have some small reveals here and there as we make progress.
As for the artwork, new member Cat and old member Pain have worked really well in the concept art department to help us get a clearer view of our characters and cast. Again, while we cannot show off their work for now, you can expect to see some in the future.
Team Member of the Month
For this month 'Team Member of the Month', we would like to honour SexyFlexTape, one of our more recent team members but have already begun to help us move our demo into GameMaker Studio. They have also been a great help in the spriting department and offers plenty of ideas when it comes to mechanics and story. So give a round of applause to them.
Conclusion
So for this month, again our devlog comes late. We were however reserving this for when the Pre-Demo Build could be complete so we could have our first major work to show. In future, you can hope to expect an Alpha and later a Demo of TE! UTG, where we will have much more to show, but do enjoy what we currently have for you. As always, remember to keep showing kindness and stay determined.
