Greetings everyone, we're here today to look over what's been accomplished so far alongside leaving a trail to look back upon. Though it may not be stupendous or overall shiny since it's only the baby steps in the grand scheme of things, but its essential steps towards the future.
To start simple, the team size has grown drastically from the project start. With such help, the ideas that were just words on paper are starting to lift off and take shape, with improvements at every turn. In time the monsters of the underground will be able to share their own thoughts, hopefully good thoughts but that's for them to decide.
With the time spent learning and gaining experience, even the stuff never to be seen has begun taking form (Even if it keeps barking back error messages once in a while... or every few minutes). Alongside Gamemaker and the fun that comes with it, the sprites and concept art that improve with every new attempt, the music melodies honing towards those memorable Undertale sounds, and the story and monsters to shake and tear at heartstrings, everything has been improving as the strong foundation begins forming.
We may not have too much we wish to make public, either wanting to improve it already or thinking it should stay a secret, but we've got at least 1 thing that should be expected and can be shown off. During a battle, this will allow the player to tip a battle back into their favor while tangling with the underground residents.
With the help of the seahorse powerhouse himself, we've been practicing and testing with the more unique mechanics unfamiliar to base Undertale. For now, the magic mechanic is stable as we've contained it inside the box, but upon its creation, all the amazing power exploded out, destroying the entire underground and returning to the Gamemaker studio screen. (we're working on lowering the power level to make it safe to use).
This wraps up this quick log and we wish everyone a wonderful summer, we'll see you with the next log!
