You should collect gold and gold stars by killing aliens to level weapons up, wake your comrade ‘Marine’ to fight a battle with.
Every weapon has its own skill, so if you strengthen the skills, you can fight to advantage.
You can also find hidden functions by building your engineering bay up, get ‘Marine’ with more powerful skill.

In the quest for accessibility, I'm adding Resurrection Shrines for players on the 'novice' end of the platforming spectrum.
In order to unlock the power of a Shrine, you must collect 3 'Souls' from your dead corpses! (the floating blue orbs)
