Hi guys it's meeeeee your new favorite dev, bringin you news about your soon-to-be new favorite undertale fangammeeeee

Lol, sorry about that. Anyway, this week I've been sick, so coding has made me feel like my eyes are slowly going in two different directions. :P

But! I did get some work done on the puzzles of the first area. As an apology for the slow progress, I wanted to show you all a lil sneak peek of the first puzzle:

That's Sans getting electrocuted. Because, y'know, he's not very good at the puzzle.

While we're here, I want to explain all the big stuff that needs to be done before the demo can be properly built. This way, you guys can see a sort of real-time progress bar, and I can keep myself accountable. So, for the game I need to:

  • Finish the textbox system.

    It's mostly complete, but it needs yes/no options and just a little fine-tuning besides that.

  • To build the in-game menu. Inventory, call, everything. You will be able to "check" your vessel at any time (yes there is a purpose to this). You will also be able to call people like in the main game, with a certain monster answering at any time, rain or shine.

    (although probably rain since there's no shine underground)

  • A battle system. I still haven't decided what I'm going to do with this, as the story calls for significantly less battle encounters than the main game. I've got some ideas, but it'll be a while before this is up and running.


Also, y'all can start expecting sporatic but semi-frequent posts written by some of the characters. And, if anyone has any questions for the characters, returning or original, put 'em up and I might answer them. See you next week!

Changed the textbox bone sprites, now they fit the screen a little better. Still need to make unique ones for Chapter Zero, though.
